2. Emerald Green Pit Viper
The snake was first discovered in 2002 in the eastern Himalayas in Burma. Males of this green venomous snake have red eyes with red and white stripes, while females have yellow eyes and mostly white stripes.
Emerald Green Pit Viper can grow to at least 4½ feet long, but since they are a relatively new discovery in the reptile kingdom, we may still not know much about them, such as their maximum size.
Usually coiled tightly around a branch, their prehensile tails have round, golden eyes with vertical pupils.
The average adult size of this species is three feet (0.9 meters). In spite of their weak venom, their fangs are exceptionally long, and a bite can penetrate deep into the skin.
