31. Ringneck Snake
As a result of its striking appearance, it deserves a spot on this list of the most colorful and beautiful snakes.
In contrast to their darker bodies, ringneck snakes have a bright orange or yellow ring around their necks that make them stand out.
One of the most beautiful snakes, this snake is mildly venomous but poses no danger to us. Besides salamanders, earthworms, and slugs, ring-necked snakes also consume lizards, frogs, and some juvenile snakes of other species.
It is also commonly found under wood or scraps since it is a woodland reptile. Hot weather causes them to burrow or make holes, or hide under rocks or other suitable materials. Forests with flatlands are usually home to them.
Although they prefer to stay away from manmade structures, ring-neck snakes can find refuge from predators in urbanized areas.
