Today’s poetry is ‘She Walks in Beauty’ a poem by Lord Byron (1788–1824). George Gordan Byron, better known as Lord Byron, was a key poet in the Romantic movement.
His wild lifestyle and scandalous love life made him the most flamboyant among his peers.
Known for his swashbuckling ways, adventure, womanizing, and heartbreaker ways, he was a playboy of his time.
His sharp wit combined with his mercurial temper made him dangerous to anyone who crossed him.
However, Byron was a very sentimental poet who wrote some of the most beautiful English poems.
“She Walks in Beauty” is said to be one of his best-loved poems and one of the finest Romantic poems ever written.

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;

Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;

And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

और फिर ग्रेनाईट सरीखे धैर्य के साथ
धैर्य है वो ग्रेनाईट हथियार
जो बनाए कई बिगड़े काम
इसकी चमक जहाँ – जहाँ पड़े
वहीं – वहीं भरोसे और विश्वास की दुनिया चमके
परिवार चलाना कोई आसान नहीं
अलग- अलग स्वभाव को एक छत के नीचे रखना
भरोसे और विश्वास की है बड़ी जरूरत
कई बार परीस्थितियाँ बड़ी हैं बिगड़ती
लेकिन अगर धैर्य का दामन थामे रखें
पारिवारिक समस्या आराम से है सुलझतीं ।।
और फिर ग्रेनाइट शरीखे धैर्य के साथ
जीवन में फूल ही फूल नहीं,
काँटों से उलझना पड़ता है l
सारा समय रौशन तो नहीं,
अंधेरों से भी गुज़ारना पड़ता है l
मनचाही वस्तु मिल जाए तो
खुशियों की कोई थाह नहीं l
पर जब मेहनत कर के थक जाएँ
और दिखती नैया पार नहीं l
न घबराना, न ही डर जाना,
अपने विवेक के बल से ही ,
आगे को बढ़ते ही जाना l
सफलता ज़रूर मिलेगी ही
जैसे रात घोर अंधीयारी हो,
उस पर तूफ़ान भी ज़ारी हो,
आशा की किरण निकलेगी ज़रूर l
अंधकार का मिटेगा तब ग़रूर l
हिम्मत ना हार, बधाएँ चाहें करें प्रहार l
और फिर ग्रेनाइट सारीखे धैर्य के साथ l
पा जाओगे वही, जो सोच रहे हो तुम दुश्वार l
