Under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, South Delhi Municipal Corporation invited select NGOs to help in the redevelopment of barren parks.
Under this initiative, Aarambh Trust for Women and Children was given the responsibility of redeveloping a park located in H-Pocket, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi.
The members of the trust decided to use only the waste material around us as a raw material to beautify the park.
In less than 20 days, we not only revived the park but also beautified it and handed it over to the South Delhi Municipal Corporation in a function held on 02 March 2022.
The Assistant Commissioner of SDMC Shri Madhukant Kumar and Area Councilor graced the occasion along with all the trust members.
Market associations thanked Aarambh Trust and SDMC declared AARAMBH ECO MITRA PARK as a model park for the entire SDMC area.
On this occasion, Mrs. Cheena Goyal, Founder, and Chairperson of Aarambh Trust thanked SDMC for the opportunity and announced that the Trust will redevelop more parks under the SDMC area.
Using waste material is the need of the hour and we must learn to reduce, reuse and recycle to contribute towards green earth and a habitable planet.
