Fact 1: Snakes Hatch From Eggs
The snake is a reptile that hatches from eggs. Some snake species are oviviviparous, however.
The eggs of ovoviviparous snakes hatch inside the mother snake. Due to this, it seems as if snake babies were born live, like mammals, even though they hatched from eggs!
Snakes that are ovoviviparous are relatively rare. Snakes like rattlesnakes and copperheads often reproduce ovoviviparously.
