Malaria is a life-threatening disease. Infected Anopheles mosquitoes are typically the carriers of malaria. Infected mosquitoes carry the Plasmodium parasite to the victim. Whenever this mosquito bites you, the parasite is released into your bloodstream.
It is typically found in subtropical and tropical climates where the parasite lives. According to the WHO’s Trusted Source, there were an estimated 216 million cases of malaria in 91 countries in 2016.
