When I valued to time
it fullfills all my desires and dreams

helps me live a balanced and happy life.

I love to read, it’s what I enjoy…
I enter my room to see my friends on their shelves waving their pages at me.
I am mesmerized …what shall I read today – fiction, mythology, fantasy, romance, or thrillers?
Huddling between covers and discovering new lives.
I live more than one life in more than one place.
Sharing their dreams and sorrows and reveling in their joys.
Involuntarily and helplessly slipping into another’s skin, another’s voice and another’s soul.
While reading, I am by myself, yet never alone.
Words speak to me and gave up their secrets.
Opening out the whole universe before my eyes.
The books transport me to faraway lands and magical kingdoms, to peep into the lives of the legendary, the rich, and the famous.
And sometimes visit the darkest alleys and the murkiest corners splashed with blood, crime, and sin.
I wonder how the naive lawyer will battle her wits against the seasoned attorney or how the poor but gutsy miner will strike gold and become rich?
How will the city of dreams treat the country bumpkin or how will the vagabond steal the heart of the heiress?
Can the doctors find a cure for the sinister virus and can the prince cross the seven seas to rescue the princess from the demon?
Everything is possible in a book be it encounters with dragons or trysts with trolls, traveling in a time machine, or trailing down rabbit holes.
These plots astound me, scare me and make me break into peals of laughter or drown in buckets of tears.
These characters speak to me without embarrassment or awkwardness, making me a part of their journeys.
I find wondrous worlds blinding me like sandstorms and numbing me like ice blasts.
They become a part of my world and I, of theirs, everyday.
