1st April – Aprils Fools’ Day

Historiographers say that it was first observed in 1852 when France converted from the earstwhile Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar.
1st April – Prevention of Blindness week
The week-long campaign raises awareness about the causes and prevention of blindness from 1st to 7th April.
1st April – Odisha Foundation Day
As a mark of appreciation for becoming a separate province on April 1, 1936, Odisha Foundation Day is held every year on April 1.

2nd April – World Autism Awareness Day

2nd April – Chaitra Navratri

5th April- National Maritime Day

11 April – National Safe Motherhood Day (NSMD)

White Ribbon Alliance India (WRAI) establishes National Safe Motherhood Day to ensure women have access to adequate care during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

11 April – National Pet Day
In the United States, National Pet Day is observed on April 11. It is a day that is dedicated to all the pets out there and it is a day in which owners give their pets extra love, attention, and care on that day.
13 April – Jallianwala Bagh Massacre
This incident occurred in Amritsar on 13 April 1919 and is also known as the Amritsar massacre.
An unarmed crowd of Indians in Amritsar, Punjab, were fired upon by British troops under Gen Dyer on this day.
It resulted in the death of several hundred people and the injury of many hundreds more.
14 April- B.R. Ambedkar Remembrance Day
On 14 April, India observes B.R. Ambedkar Remembrance Day, which is also referred to as Ambedkar Jayanti or Bhim Jayanti.
On this day, Indian social activist and politician Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar celebrates his birthday.
14 April- Baisakhi Day
A celebration of spring harvest, Vaisakhi/Baisakhi coincides with the first day of the month of Vaisakh and is traditionally celebrated on 13 April and sometimes 14 April in Northern India.
This festival is also celebrated by other Indian cultures and diasporas. It is a spring harvest festival celebrated by Punjabi community members every April 13 or 14.
14 April – Mahavir Jayanti
Mahavir, the last spiritual teacher of Jainism, is remembered on this auspicious day by the Jain community around the world.
The Mahavir Janma Kalyanak is one of Jainism’s most important religious festivals. The festival commemorates the birth of Mahavir, the 24th and last Tirthankara of Avasarpiṇī.
It occurs either in March or April on the Gregorian calendar. It will be celebrated on April 14 this year.
15 April – Good Friday
On this year’s Good Friday, 15 April, Christianity celebrates an auspicious day. It is observed by Christians on the Friday before Easter Sunday to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
This day is observed by fasting, visiting the church, and remembering Jesus’ sacrifice. In addition to being known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, or Easter Friday, it is also known as Good Friday.
16 April – Hanuman Jayanti
The festival of Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated during the month of Chaitra on the full moon day. During Hanuman Jayanti, we commemorate Hanuman’s birth, who is also known as Vanara God.
