Aarambh Trust For Women And Children

“Women Empowerment” these words are easy to use; however, turning this to reality is quite contrary.

This is not just an action but a process.

With zeal and commitment to embark on this process, Mrs. Cheena Goyal founded a charitable trust named “AARAMBH TRUST FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN” in 2014 and formed a core team with Mrs. Ishpreet Sahani, Mrs. Vinu Sharma, and Mrs. Fawzia Naqvi.

This Fantastic Four then roped in like-minded women who associated themselves with AARAMBH’s vision.

AARAMBH took the first step with members & volunteers from Jasola Vihar, New Delhi, to spread its wings far and beyond.

The main aim of AARAMBH has been to bring positive change in women’s and children’s lives that come from challenged socio-economic segments of our society.

They aim to create power in individuals over their own lives, society, and their communities.

They believe individuals are empowered when they can access the opportunities available to them without limitations and restrictions such as in education, profession, and lifestyle.

Decision-making entitlement creates a sense of empowerment.

They attempt to raise women & children’s status through education, raising awareness, literacy, training, and facilitating self-defense training.

India’s unity in diversity is a perfect example of the structure of our members, volunteers, and our actions.

At Aarambh, they celebrate all festivals, personal events, and joys together and end up working as a cohesive team.

Since the foundation of AARAMBH, they have embarked on multiple activities aligning with the vision of our Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with their contribution towards making this great country even better.

On every call of our Hon Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, they have conducted various “Art Contests” for economically challenged women & children, contributed to natural disasters like Kerala Floods, and educating people about personal hygiene.

They are extremely proud that we have contributed to uplifting about 800 girls and women through the above actions in a short span.

Aarambh members are equally committed towards another neglected segment: Orphans and neglected senior citizens.

At large scale, they celebrate moments of joys and celebrations, senior citizens of Old age homes, and children at orphanages.

Then came the pandemic, the COVID-19!

At AARAMBH, they took up the initiative to educate about its seriousness and the critical role of hygiene maintenance to fight this virus.

Our wonderful members & volunteers emphasized the rule of Social Distancing and distributed over 5000 kits containing facemask, soap, and hand-sanitizer to economically challenged women & children.

They are equally conscious of our environment and contributed towards reducing global warming.

Aarambh members realized that plastic is bad for our environment; hence they created a “Steel Bank” that carries steel utensils that can be borrowed for a small to medium-sized function, thereby reducing plastic or Styrofoam based utensils making our planet greener.

To date, this effort has reduced the consumption of almost 5000 plastic plates and Styrofoam glasses.

Since last year, AARAMBH has:

  1. supported marriage of five girls from economically challenged families.
  2. distributed milk powder at orphanages.
  3. Provided cooked lunch to senior citizens once a week and sponsoring a month of groceries at an Old Age Home

As there is a saying, if your intent is right, you will have beautiful partners too.

AARAMBH is fortunate enough to partner with organizations like RNTALKS, AYAAS PRAYAS, and MUSIC FACTORY to perform actions that align with our vision.

It has been a short journey of just SIX years.

Aarambh is a little sapling whose seeds were sown by four members, is now turning into a sheltering tree with like-minded women who are a part of this happy family.

Each one is a special, brave, and empowered female ready to face any challenge thrown in their way. We at AARAMBH are simply unstoppable.

We work and play hard, too- We organized women’s softball cricket for all our members and invited every single woman & child that we have touched this far, making our largest gathering at a single place.

Few media houses were kind enough to gives us visibility in various news channels and newspapers.

Team AARAMBH has the power to rise above any situation and deliver the best results irrespective of the circumstances.

Aarambh welcomes anyone that is like-minded and is motivated towards their cause.

AARAMBH is the beginning of something beautiful, and it just goes on…
